moonstruck87 | I typically use the 3 card spread. I think I am ready to go beyond that. I do a 5 card sometimes, but I was just curious which spread you all use? |
tphoenix5 | I love astrology so I use an astrological spread. Just 12 cards though I have seen it with 13. If I am doing the spread with a client in front of me... I may put extra cards on a house where the meaning is fuzzy. T |
moonstruck87 | oooo I'll have to look into that! that sounds so neat T. Where did you learn to do that? Or is this a deck? |
tphoenix5 | No, you just put a card for each of the 12 houses. You start at 9 oclock for the first house and work your way around going counterclockwise until you get to ten oclock. This way each card represents a bigger picture. Say the first card is the Sun in the 3rd house. It could mean that you are finally getting along with your siblings or maybe you been wanting a car and this could show you will be getting it.... that sorta thing! |
moonstruck87 | love it!!! what a great spread |
tphoenix5 | When I taught tarot I even made a cloth with the meanings of the houses so that the class only had to learn the tarot at first but eventually would learn the houses. Easy enough to do...You could make one for yourself. then you keep it with your cards. I still have students who still have their cloths. Its been 15 years at least since I taught a tarot class. |
MinceyMouse | I don't usually have a default spread- I find it too limiting. I usually pull 3 cards for the situation and see if it needs a 'final outcome' card, or 2. With that, then I use my intuition and past experiences with certain images to interpret the tarot. So far, it's worked for me. ------------------ Etsy Shop ♓ Sun ♈ Moon ♈ Rising |
